Congratulations on being accepted to Duquesne. But don’t relax just yet, as an “accepted” student you still have some important decisions to make.
Where Do I Sign?
All accepted students receive a Deposit Card. You will confirm your admission when you send back your deposit. This secures your spot in our student body. You are then considered a “deposited” student and should plan on attending Duquesne. Deposits are not refundable but will be credited as a prepayment on your student account.
We contact Deposited students throughout the Spring and Summer to prepare for their first year at Duquesne. You will need to register for housing, choose a dining plan, get email accounts and online access and attend orientation.
If you deposit and then decide to delay your attendence, we must receive written notice before the start of classes if you expect to receive a tuition refund. Read more about online billing for tuition and registering for freshman year.
Not Ready to Confirm?
We hope that are ready to accept our offer and become part of the Duquesne community. But if you are still uncertain, feel free to call. We will be glad to answer any of your questions and help you make up your mind.
Will you succeed at Duquesne? About 90 percent of freshmen return for their sophomore year, much higher than the average retention rate of 70 percent. Almost 70% of the 1999 freshmen had graduated or completed their programs within six years.
Perhaps a visit to our campus will help you decide. We can arrange for you to meet faculty and students in your areas of interest. You’ll find out exactly what its like to be a student at Duquesne.
