Application:

Fee:
$50 application fee (waived if we receive your application before December 15, 2009)
Transcript:
Applicants must submit all official, high school transcripts and college transcripts, if applicable. Transcripts marked “Issued to Student” are not official. All high school students who apply by December 1 should request that their current senior-year grades and course work be included on their official transcripts.
Test Scores:
Submit all official SAT and/or ACT scores directly from the testing board or as part of the official high school transcript
Recommendations:
One recommendation form, completed by a teacher or academic advisor, is required.
Personal Essay:
Please discuss the following (300 word minimum):
Tell us something unique about you, why you chose your particular major, and how you expect Duquesne University to help you achieve your academic, personal and professional goals. Please include any examples of your research, shadowing or volunteer experiences.

Financial Aid: Application for Financial Aid (U.S. Students ONLY)
MUSIC APPLICANTS
An audition consisting of performance, music theory and musicianship is required. Please contact the School of Music directly at 412-396-5983 for further information or to schedule an audition between October 2008 and March 2009. International students who cannot audition in person must submit a 15-minute taped audition demonstrating their performance abilities.
PHYSICAL THERAPY FRESHMEN
Documentation of a minimum of 40 hours of volunteer, paid, or shadowing experience in a physical therapy setting is required by August 1, 2010.
TRANSFER APPLICANTS
All transfer students must also complete the Duquesne University Transfer Form.

Pharmacy – Because of the limited number of seats available in our Doctor of Pharmacy Program, transfer opportunities are limited to students from colleges and universities with which Duquesne has formal education agreements.
SECOND DEGREE APPLICANTS
Nursing – Please refer to the School of Nursing web site for application requirements.
Pharmacy – If you have, or will earn, an undergraduate degree by the end of the current academic year, you may be interested in our Pharm D weekend program.
COLLEGE CREDIT IN HIGH SCHOOL (CCHS) APPLICANTS
High school juniors and seniors who wish to take University courses before they graduate from high school will follow the requirements for all applicants, as stated above. Students enrolled in CCHS may receive University credit for courses taken. Courses will be offered at a reduced tuition rate. For more details, contact the Admissions Office.
