While Duquesne admits many students with high academic achievement, each applicant is judged on his or her own merits, and various factors may influence a decision. If you are interested in Duquesne, we are interested in hearing from you and reviewing your application.
A typical Duquesne student has graduated
in the upper three-fifths
of their class and demonstrated exemplary personal conduct
in secondary school.
The high school curriculum must include:
- 4
units in English
- 8 units in any combination
of social studies, language, mathematics,
or science
- 4 elective units that provide credit toward graduation
- 7 units in mathematics and science (for pharmacy, pre-health,
science or mathematics majors)
Applicants who have not completed
four years of high school must submit a General Educational
Development Certificate (GED) issued by their state
department of education, and an official high school
transcript.
Applicants must have completed standardized testing from the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or the
American College Testing Program (ACT).
